Application Process

We are excited to engage them in reaching their full potential!

We will soon be accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year!

We are always excited to talk to families about Montessori School of Ruston. Our staff is happy to answer questions about our school and Montessori philosophy. This is, after all, an extremely important decision, and we respect you for asking all the questions needed in order make your decision.

  • A Montessori environment is a unique educational experience that can be best appreciated by seeing it in action. Join us at an open house to explore our campus, meet our staff, and visit with some of our current parents. If you are unable to attend the open house or want to see the classroom with students engaged, we invite you to schedule a tour.

Toddler Tours (children age 12 months and walking by September 30)

Primary Tours (children age 3, 4, or 5 by September 30)

  • On March 11th, 2024 open enrollment will begin for new incoming families. We will notify families of admission in Aprl, 2024

  • Paperwork must be received for applications to be complete. If your child is currently attending another school, please request that his or her transcripts and a teacher recommendation be sent from your child's current school to MSR. Applicants to our Kindergarten through Middle School are required to have this information into MSR in order for the application to be complete.

  • Once your application is complete, a member of the admission team will be in touch to schedule a student visit for all students age three and over. Toddler applicants are not required to visit. Student visits vary in length according to the program to which your child is applying.

  • Once your application is complete, a member of the admissions team will contact you to schedule a parent meeting. Primary through Middle School parent meetings are scheduled after your child's visit. MSR deeply values the partnership between parents and our school in supporting each child in their development. Out of respect for the parent-school relationship we seek to get to know you as well as your child during the admissions process. For this reason our head of school and one other staff member sits down with all parents in an effort to learn more about you as well as answer any remaining questions regarding our educational philosophy, programs, logistics, our long term plans, or any other questions you may have about your child's application to MSR.

  • We will send notification of acceptance to our program in April. After the first round of notifications, we will continue rolling admission until all spaces are filled. We make every effort to work with families to complete the admissions process as quickly as possible.
